I’ve begun a project to rebuild my early 1970′s era Radio Flyer Wagon. Thus far, it has been photographed and disassembled. I haven’t been able to find an image of a Radio Flyer Wagon like this one online yet. I did find a similar wagon but the wheels were different. I was, and still am searching for a source to buy an original style stencil to repaint the logo. I may have to have a Radio Flyer stencil made here locally with someone cutting a pattern based on my photos. Stay tuned for followups as the project progresses.
I went through several of those carrying newspapers when I did two paper routes.
I have one identical to yours and always wondered about what year it is.

I did order the replacement parts from Radio Flyer. They didn’t have the exact sticker. The pieces have all been sanded and primed. I need to get back on this project and finish it. Maybe this weekend since they are calling for temps in the 60′s and no rain. Thanks for the reminder that i need to finish this!
Bill I got a Radio Flyer wagon just like this for my 1st. Christmas in 1971. I have a picture of it but mine had silver painted wheels.
I have a wagon identical to this one I recently purchased at a flea market. Same wheels and all !!

I made the stencil myself for mine. Making taped printer paper over the original logo,and rubbed black crayon over the paper,it made a great rubbing that I then cut out with a xacto knife
I have one just like it. I made a stencle my self. Itook a picture. Drew it up in cad and had a stencil cut. it turned out greet.
bill, i was wondering if you ever finished your wagon??? we also have one identical to this one and we painted it put the graphics one it looks VERY sharp. we have one bad wheel that i would like to get replaced but the company doesnt sell them anymore wondering if you ran into any wheels during your search or if you know where i could get some. then my project will be complete

I did not run across any wheels. I wasn’t looking of them though. You caught me. Everything is primed and I have all of the pieces but I never did shoot the final red coat of paint and put the wagon back together. It is still in my shop among several projects I need to finish!!
hi, just got one with all origanel wheels and decal on it still a little ruff but looks good, was wondering what specifice year is it mine is just like yours in the pic. but a little better looks like its been played with only a few times, i am planning on fixing it up and selling it so i just need to know the year
